UTTOXETER star Adam Peaty won his fourth gold medal at the European Swimming Championships over the weekend.
He was in the British team that won the four x 100-metre individual medley in Berlin, with France taking silver and Hungary bagging bronze.
Britain won in 3:31.71 and Peaty's team-mates were Chris Walker-Hebborn, Adam Barrettt and Ben Proud.
It has been an outstanding championships for the Uttoxeter 19-year-old, who previously won golds in the 100m and 50m breaststroke as well as the four x 100-metre mixed individual medley.
Adam tweeted: "What an amazing end to an amazing season, was so good to be part of that relay tonight! 4 Golds and 2 World Records!"
Adam said on breaking the world record: "I feel absolutely amazing. I looked at the scoreboard about five times before I knew I had broken it.
"I haven't broken a world record before so I don't know how it feels."
Peaty is competing at only his second major international event, having made his debut at last month's Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, where he won two golds and a silver for England.
