A SWANKY black tie ball at Uttoxeter Racecourse is the latest fund-raising event in aid of the rapidly growing Kyreigh’s Kause campaign.

Bosses at the racecourse have loaned fund-raisers their facilities for the night on November 1 from 7.30pm.

Proceeds from the sale of tickets, which cost £40, will go straight into Kyreigh’s Kause’s coffers.

And the total raised will be boosted by an auction featuring prizes including a £1,000 golf package, yacht trips and pleasure rides in light aircraft.

Attendees will also enjoy a sit-down meal, live bands, dancing and table games.

A photographer will be on hand to take pictures of people as they arrive in their evening finery and will sell the pictures on the night.

Kyreigh’s Kause is a campaign set up by Sasha O’Regan, whose son, five-year-old Kyreigh, suffers from cerebral palsy.

Miss O’Regan needs to raise £65,000 to take Kyreigh, pictured, to the US for a vital operation to remove faulty nerves from his spine.

In the space of just five weeks, Miss O’Regan is already seven per cent there.

She said: “I’d like to give an absolutely massive thanks to Uttoxeter Racecourse.

“They’ve been absolutely fantastic in supporting Kyreigh’s Kause and hosting the ball and auction.

“Any businesses who wants to donate to the auction, or anyone who wants tickets, can contact me by emailing shoregan@live.co.uk or calling 07730 270554.”

Uttoxeter Cricket Club is holding a charity 20-20 match at its home pitch at the racecourse on August 1 for Kyreigh.

The event, which gets under way at 5.30pm, features a raffle, live music and a barbecue, with players still looking for sponsorship.

The following week, on Friday, August 8, the Town House is hosting a charity night from 9pm. Entry costs £5 and revellers are asked to wear something green, Kyreigh’s favourite colour.

On August 24, Rocester Football Club will host a fun day and charity football match from midday.

Uttoxeter MP Andrew Griffiths will be donning his football boots to help Kyreigh’s Kause.

Rounding off August’s events will be Miss O’Regan’s sponsored skydive on August 29..
