A ROCK and roll covers band is to play to crowds at a Uttoxeter rock night.

Playin Layzee, a modern rock and roll and rhythm and blues band will play at the Old Star on Saturday, August 16 from 9pm.

The band have previously played at last year's Bradfest and have played at the venue before, as well as Rocester Football Club and JCB Lakeside.

Members of the band promise a '100 per cent live experience, with all the best modern music mixed with the classics' and say they are booked again and again by the same venues.

The band call Burton and Derby their home and are influenced by a wide range of styles, from punk to classic rock, and the 'sweet sounds of Pixie Lott'. They mainly play gigs, and birthday parties.
