DIABETIC Chris Bloor is hoping to raise awareness of what she describes as a 'silent killer'.
The 67-year-old was diagnosed with type two diabetes 21 years ago.
The condition affects the body's ability to process sugar or glucose.
She believes her condition has also contributed to her having being diagnosed with heart disease.
Ms Bloor, of Hollington Road, Tean, said: "Diabetes is a silent killer. Because you don't feel any pain, you are not inclined to do anything."
