Ellis helping anglers stay safe in town

AN ANGLING project helping youngsters fish safely is being backed by a top police boss.

Staffordshire Police and Crime Commissioner Matthew Ellis has given a £3,600 grant to East Staffordshire's Fishing in Safe Hands project.

Mr Ellis said: "I have significantly increased the funding that local areas in Staffordshire have to make their communities safer.

"The Commissioner's People Power Fund puts half a million pounds back into local communities and is easy and simple to apply for."
