THE man voted the best comedian in Jamaica is bringing a comical flavour of the Caribbean to Stoke Regent Theatre.

Tony Hendriks is a household name in Jamaica due to the success of his TV show Paleface Point of View and Laugh Jamaica, the smash hit comedy revue that sold so many videos and DVDs that pirates in Kingston, New York and Lagos have built houses on the proceeds.

Tony headlines shows all over the USA, Canada, Europe and the Caribbean, including many festivals, comedy clubs and corporate functions and is a sure fire hit for a show at the Regent Theatre tomorrow night from 8pm.

Also performing is Luke Benson, who is officially a giant.

Standing 6ft 7in tall, he is a very gentle giant but provides comedy that packs a humorous punch.

The giant Geordie is in demand all over the world and would be headlining in most clubs, but is opening the show tomorrow night.

Bec Hill is also on the bill and will provide a 'refreshing blend of charm, whimsy and infectious enthusiasm'.

She carries the distinction of being the only act in the UK whose boyfriend has proposed in the middle of her show.

Paul Ricketts will bring his intelligent observational humour to proceedings, focussing on ' cultural and satirical subjects' and strange tales of 'ordinary madness'.

Damion Larkin, one of Britain's most promising comedy talents, will compere the event.

Tickets cost £12 in advance and are available by calling the box office on 01782 213800.

Alternatively, they are available on the door for £15. They are also available online from www.atgtickets.com/venues/britannia-suite
