'Jury' set up across North Staffordshire

THE healthcare body covering the Staffordshire Moorlands has set up the area's first ever 'citizens' jury'.

The jury, which was set up by North Staffordshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), should meet for the first time in September to look at diabetes care .

It will be made up entirely of lay people and be able to call doctors and nurses, NHS managers, carers and patients to give evidence.

Naomi Chambers, the CCGs patient and public involvement boss, said: "This isn't going to be an adversarial process."
