THE date of the funeral of a Uttoxeter pupil with a ‘cheeky smile’ who tragically died in a car crash has been announced.

The funeral of Danny Edwards, of Stone Road, will be held at St Mary’s Parish Church, in Uttoxeter, at 1pm, on Friday, followed by an interment in Uttoxeter Cemetery.
Flowers are welcome and any donations in memory of the 18-year-old will be given to a charity of the family’s choice.
Danny died when his car hit a tree near to Popinjay Farm at 7.25pm on Monday, February 22, as he was travelling on the A518 Stafford Road, in Loxley.
The Thomas Alleyne’s High School pupil, who played bass guitar in Picture This and was an avid rugby player, lived with sisters, Kelly and Katie and parents Angela and Kelvin.
Meanwhile, Facebook group A Tribute to Danny Edwards has more than 1,700 members.
Rosie Brownhill said: “The music department has felt so empty without you but to carry any memory of you makes all of us feel so special.”
Lisa Marie Mckay said: “I love you so much I’m still in shock and can’t really believe I’m never gonna see you again,
“Wherever you are I hope you’re misbehaving and I hope your happy but then again you’re always happy anyway.”
