A FAMILY fun day to raise cash to send a little girl battling cancer on a dream trip to Disneyland has been a huge success.

Imogen's Party, a family fun day and auction, saw families flock to Oldfields Sports and Social Club before it was set up to show their support for Imogen Evans, who is battling neuroblastoma, a child-specific form of cancer.

The event raised £5,166 to send Imogen to the Paris theme park.

The highlight was an appearance by Queen Elsa from Disney's Frozen who met the children and read them a story.

Organiser Faye Mawer said: "The kindness of the people of Uttoxeter was amazing and overwhelming. Imogen spent the day enjoying the sun with her family and friends, especially her best friend Bella. I cannot thank all those that helped set up on the day and run stalls enough.

"It would have been impossible without their help and support."

Residents wanting to help Imogen are asked to follow the team on Twitter @team_imogen or like the Facebook page 'Fundraising for Imogen'
