AN Alton Towers worker has told how the Prince's Trust helped in his struggle with depression.

Twenty-year-old Steven Watwood, who works at Alton Towers Hotel, is urging other young people in the same situation as he found himself in, to take part in a trust programme to regain confidence.

Steven was bullied throughout secondary school.

He went to college and gained employment in painting and decorating, but had to leave work because of health reasons.

Steven's family life became increasingly difficult and with all the pressure and problems he faced, he realised he had depression – and had for years.

He said: "I applied for hundreds of jobs. I was really proactive but got no feedback from my applications.

"I was left feeling like no one was bothered, I felt devalued and my confidence got a knock.

"I heard about the Get Into Customer Services Prince's Trust programme and completed a four week course which has changed my life and got me into work."
